I posted yesterday, for no other reason than I could.

Working on some environment shots.

So… the good news is that Abbie’s okay! (for the most part) This is how MFK pages typically start out.

This is pre-thumbnail stage. I take my script and basically sketch out beats from the story to get a feel for what’s going on. Staging, poses and actions, panel transitions, even notes about color and sound cues. I just want to know what the story should look like. Sometimes I’ll try a beat from different angles and perspectives, just to see the possibilities. I found myself at a loss and losing a lot of time in my thumbnailing because I just couldn’t decide how to arrange the panels. By knowing what needs to go in them ahead of time, I can lay out pages a lot more efficiently.

Lucky for Abbie, the doctor is in (HAR HAR).
